Why I set it up this way

Nearly every cleaning company covering this postcode is an introduction agency. You pay them, they match you with a self-employed cleaner, and if the clean isn't right it isn't really their problem. Some of them say as much in their own terms.

I wanted to run something simpler than that. You book me, I do the work, and if something isn't right you tell me and I put it right. I'd rather look after a smaller number of homes properly than take on more than I can stand behind.

What that means in practice

• The same person every visit. You're not letting a different stranger in each week.
• DBS checked. I hold a current certificate and I'll show it to you before I start — you shouldn't have to ask.
• Public liability insurance. If I break something, it's covered and I'll tell you straight away rather than hope you don't notice.
• Keys handled properly. If you give me a key it's kept locked and labelled with a code, never with your address on it.
• No contract. No tie-in and no notice period. If it isn't working, we stop.

Eco-friendly, honestly

I use eco-friendly products wherever they'll genuinely do the job, chosen to be safe around children and pets. That's a deliberate choice rather than a marketing line — I'm in these homes every week, and so are your family and your animals.

Where a job truly needs something stronger, I'll tell you what I'm using and why. I'd rather be straight with you than claim everything I own is natural.

Carpets and upholstery

I've completed professional carpet and upholstery cleaning training, which means the same person you already trust with the house can take on the carpets, the sofa and the mattresses too — instead of a stranger turning up with a machine.

It also means an honest assessment. Some marks are permanent damage rather than dirt, and I'll say so before you spend anything.
